Liliana Schiller (she/her) moved to Chicago to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from DePaul University. Upon graduating, she taught general music and choir in Chicago Public Schools. While she enjoyed teaching, Liliana felt compelled to explore her passion for systems-level change and received her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration. Now, she works for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and is passionate about writing policy for the people. In her free time, Liliana likes to garden, embroider, and spend time with her cats, Tina and Jerry.
