Carly Englander has an extensive background in vocational counseling, having previously worked for two years at the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities in the Career Center. She has extensive knowledge of vocational counseling and working with individuals with disabilities on their career goals. She recently transitioned to a role as Coordinator of the Access Center at Truman College, part of City Colleges of Chicago, where she arranges accommodations for students with disabilities, assists with testing, and addresses various academic issues. Carly made the switch from vocational to educational counseling to broaden her skill set. She is excited to help students achieve educational success.
Prior to moving to Chicago, Carly lived in New York and worked at the Queensborough Public Library.
Carly uses her knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act to advocate and educate in a friendly and professional manner. She advocates on behalf of clients, ensuring access to services and resources. Carly holds a Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor and a License as a Professional Counselor. She received a Bachelor's in Sociology from New Paltz University and her Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling from Hofstra University.
