John Catlin

For over thirty years, Jack Catlin was involved in creating environments for all people including people with disabilities. Jack was one of two technical trainers for the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Fair Housing Accessibility FIRST Program. Jack co-chaired the committee that developed Chicago’s first comprehensive accessibility code as part of the revisions to the Chicago Building Code. In 1994, Jack was appointed to the U.S. Access Board by President Clinton. He served on the Executive Committee of the Chicago Community Trust, Co-Chaired its Disabilities Fund Advisory Board, and was a  board member of the Metropolitan Planning Council. Jack graduated from the University of Illinois School of Architecture.
