Michelle N. Johnson brings over a decade of career development expertise to her role as a Senior Career Specialist at Black on the Job since August 2020. Specializing in resume analysis, career coaching consultations, interview preparation, and LinkedIn profile optimization, Michelle excels in connecting with diverse individuals, tailoring her approach to each unique audience. Her passion for engaging with varying personalities has made her a master at fostering sincere connections, adapting her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Michelle's commitment to educating, enlightening, and empowering others guides her in motivating clients toward impactful decisions and sustainable goals. As the co-Admin of the BOTJ LinkedIn group, she plays a pivotal role in community building and professional networking. Her multifaceted background across various industries has equipped her with a deep understanding of mentorship, career guidance, and professional development, making her an invaluable asset to those looking to advance their careers. Outside of championing equitable opportunities for Black and Brown professionals, Michelle is a fierce advocate for people diagnosed with chronic diseases, specifically endometriosis. Driven by her own diagnosis, she created Fighting Fiercely, a movement designed to empower people to become proactive participants in their health and wellness management. A leader in the endometriosis and chronic illness communities, her passion for raising awareness extends to her roles as a Patient Ambassador with the Chronic Disease Coalition and as a Community Advisory Board member with Illinois Contraceptive Access Now (ICAN), helping to de-silo, de-stigmatize, and normalize birth control as basic health care.
